5 Questions to Ask in Your Virtual Admissions Appointment
How Do I Apply to EKU?
First thing’s first-- if you haven’t already, you’ll need to apply for admission to EKU. Your admissions counselor can walk you through the process. Generally, you’ll need to fill out our online application and submit your high school transcripts. But you won’t need to submit test scores or an application fee!
What are My Chances of Getting In?
Your admissions counselor can look at your records and let you know how strong of a candidate you are for admission to EKU. They can also let you know how you can make your application stronger. If you have maintained a 2.5 GPA or higher through high school, you qualify for standard admission. If you’ve maintained a 2.0-2.49 GPA, you may qualify for Success First Admission and receive specialized academic support.
How Can I Pay for College?
For many students, the cost of attendance is a top consideration. As a School of Opportunity, EKU is committed to remaining affordable. Your admissions counselor can guide you through financial aid options, including scholarships, grants, loans and more. And beginning Fall 2021, textbooks are free for students through EKU BookSmart - making your college degree even more affordable.
Which EKU Scholarships Do I Qualify For?
EKU offers a wide variety of both merit and need-based scholarships to help students like you offset their costs. In fact, we recently unveiled a new set of merit scholarships. They’re automatically applied and range from $1,000 to the full in-state tuition amount. See the scholarship list at advantage.eku.edu/scholarships, and talk to your admissions counselor about which ones you may qualify for.
What are My Chances of Employment After Graduation?
Before you make an investment in your education, students like you want to know it will pay off after graduation. EKU graduates have a bright future ahead of them; we have a connected, engaged network of alumni, and 78 percent of EKU graduates are employed within six months of graduation.
